Northwest Coast Weaving and Spinning

Visit the Grainger Science Hub to explore the technical traditions of Coast Salish weavers with Elspeth Geiger, Curator Path Research Scientist, Field Museum. Guests can expect hands-on demonstrations of traditional spinning techniques, a chance to touch unexpected fibers, and a look at the weaving craft of Coast Salish artist Myrna Crossley. This session is part of our recognition of Native American Heritage Month .
