Freedom to Read Reception

Remarks begin at 6 pm. Downers Grove Public Library is excited to host the Let Freedom Read Dress, created using data visualization of the American Library Association's (ALA) 13 Most Banned Books. The dress will be on display from September 2 - 27, 2026. Patrons are invited to attend a reception on September 10 to learn more about library initiatives and programs that celebrate the freedom to read.
